Upcoming gigs?
Guys, are there plans of more great live events, besides the untouchable Holy Wendesdays with Maestro Michael?
Anna Meldrum maybe? She's darn good!

Hey Marco, could you let me know a little more about Anna Meldrum?
We might well want to have her in for a gig...

Except for the fact that she's good?
She often plays at the various BeanScenes.

Very... acoustic. I heard her opening for Ben Parker a couple of months ago.

Yes funny she's not asked for a gig yet...
She's very good and seems to be playing shows at our level...
I'll chase her up...
Booking November, btw, in case anyone has folk in mind (other musical styles also welcome)...

Might wanna check out http://www.myspace.com/katiesud
She's a good friend of mine Ken, so if you want her to play just let me know and I'll talk to her about it - I'm sure it'd be no problem really.

Well, yeah - For now. She's had some crazy business going on recently and is tipped to be absolutely huge next year. Bigger than say, Amy MacDonald
and Paulo Nutini were this year. I can guarantee that'll happen too!
I was out for lunch with her yesterday and mentioned it in passing, and she was enthusiastic, so basically - If you want her to play, she'll be more
than happy to - but it'll have to be on a date that suits her cos she's back and forth from London lots.

Recommending Jack Taylor http://www.myspace.com/jacktaylorsmusic) and Chris
Flew http://www.myspace.com/chrisflew) for the shop, saw them both tonight at an
Elliott Smith tribute night in nice'n'sleazy.. they're part of the Glasgow Music Young Team, I guess, since John B and Ross Clark were playing
alongside them.
really good night, both acts were brilliant!

Darn. Too late (well, she did tell me yesterday, but it was too late already). So, how did it go?

Remember folks, bringing your eyes down to gigs at Tchai-Ovna, while recommended, is not essential...
Bringing your ears, however, is very much advised...
Please don't stop the torrent of gig requests and comments (though I appreciate complaints coming to me by PM!)
This thread could be a greater example of Democracy in action than the American Caucuses!

Yes I should definitely be able to get gigs for you Kate, and you Steve, and hopefully I'll approach Eve Bulloch - though the schedule's starting to
look busy now...
Great stuff!

if you can, please get in touch at mendiamler @ googlemail.com
