Darjeeling First Flush is known as The Queen of Teas. The leaves of this SFTGFOP (Super Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe), lovingly cultivated by the tea masters of the Phoobsering garden, are the freshest of the year’s crop. Phoobsering is one of Darjeeling’s top estates and prides itself on its unswerving commitment to producing some of the world’s tastiest, most exquisite teas.

The tea’s taste can perhaps best be pictured by describing its terroir  (the area it comes from): high mountains are surrounded by a mist of shimmering clouds and bedecked in freshwater springs, luscious greenery and fertile, mineral-rich soil. To drink this tea, with its light and shadow complexity, feels like tasting all the goodness of the earth.

Tasting notes: Luscious floral complexity, fruity notes, vegetal, malty, ochre dark, enveloping sweet pallet and nose. Reminiscent of fresh mountain springs.
