Japanese Tokujou Kabusecha by Haruyo and Shigeru Morimoto First Flush (30g)
At the end of April, the leaves for Tokujou Kabusecha green tea are harvested and gently processed in the Morimoto’s organic tea garden in the Miyazaki prefecture on Japan’s southern most island of Kyushu. The leaves stem from varieties of the Oku Midori, Yabukita and Minami Sayaka cultivars, which are covered with dark nets for about two weeks before harvest. Through shading the tea plants develop intensive sweetness and strong umami. Tokujou Kabusecha is comprised of very fine leaves and leaf buds effusing a fresh, full-bodied, robustly green tea with complex vegetal and floral undertones.

Nepalese Jun Chiyabari 2021 First Flush SFTGFOP (20g)
Probably the best black tea produced this year, this tea is harvested in April this year in the celebrated Nepalese organic tea garden, Jun Chiyabari. This tea, picked in the early spring, exquisitely captures the character of it’s terroir (landscape), growing at 2200m above sea level in misty yet luscious groves permeated by bamboo and rock in the shadow of Mt. Everest. Floral freshness, naturally sweet golden body and a pleasantly lingering honeydew aftertaste.

Vietnamese Wild Grown Shan Ha Gian – “Snow” First Flush (20g)
A very rare artisanal tea direct sourced from the H’mong and Red Dao tribes of the Ha Giang mountains in Northern Vietnam where tea trees grown around 1500m above sea level. These indigenous peoples know the veneered and venerable Shan (snow) trees intimately, and know exactly when to harvest the earliest spring leaves. Specialist peripatetic tea artisans then help process these young leaves into exquisite long, tippy green tea. Lively, floral, full bodied with a sweet pallet.
