Vietnamese Black Snow Fairy – Ho Thau

Ho Thau is a marvellously earthy, rich yet pleasingly floral tippy black tea that is harvested from wild tea trees which grow 2000m above sea level in mountainous North Vietnam (bordering with Yunnan). There is a hint of smoke to the nose as the Red Dow tribal people who pick and craft the tea,   fire it using woks in order to halt the oxidation process of the tea. The unique taste of this sublime brew wonderfully captivates the landscape and the culture from whence is originates.
