This is one of the finest teapots ever to have graced the tea shelves of Tchai-Ovna. Designed and crafted with care specifically for the highest grades of Japanese leaf tea, such as sencha or our Kabusecha (see Exclusive range) it is also perfect for Chinese fine teas, a kind of Japanese interpretation on the traditional kung fu method of service. Teapots of this quality are extremely rare outwith Japan.
KATO Juunidai’s traditional works follow styles like Shino and Oribe, while he also engages himself in developing hybrids of different styles. After artistic stays in Los Angeles and numerous exhibitions all over Japan, in 2018, for the first time his works were presented in exhibitions in Europe.
