The cultivation of Pu Erh harks back to the era of the package-horse reliant spice trade. The strange thing about this robust, full-bodied, rich, earthy tea is that the more mature the tea leaves are, the better the tea. Amongst tea connoisseurs a good vintage pu erh is highly prized, sometimes stored for up to 50 years in a tea cellar!
This tea is produced without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilisers.
