This is a traditional kung fu tea ceremony set, with a teapot, 3 cups and sniffing bowl pair.
The tea pot, clay and unglazed, matures with usage. It is primarily for high quality green teas, pu erhs and oolongs and is a must have for any tea connoisseur as it will bring out the full potential of the tea leaves.
This is the basics of the kungfu method: 1) warm all the tea ware with hot water 2) the tea pot it packed with leaves 3) water (between 70degC and 90degC) is poured in 4) infuse for a maximum of 30 seconds before it is decanting. Using this method you can expect to get up to 8 infusions. Remember the first infusion is usually discarded and that it is a slightly messy process in terms of water spillage.
