Gu Zhang Mao Jian is a time traveller. This wonderful Chinese green tea was already mentioned 2000 years ago, during the Han Dynasty, and was traditionally reserved for the upper classes during the Tang and Qing Dynasties.
It won gold in France in 1929 in the world tea awards it went on to win in Germany in 1982, and Milan in 2015. A hybrid cultivar of Huang Jin Cha and Zhu Ye Qi gives this speciality its incomparable, unique aroma.
Its appearance consists of long, slender, deep green leaves, which produce a lightly umami, full-bodied infusion with floral tones and a hint of chestnut. Our variety is produced free of chemicals and pesticides.
