Our wild-grown Vietnamese Black Snow Faerie, or Ho Thau, is a marvellously earthy, rich, yet pleasingly floral tippy black tea. It is harvested from wild tea trees that grow 2000m above sea level in mountainous North Vietnam (bordering with Yunnan).
In the cup, it is richly scented and gold textured. It tastes earthy yet fresh and floral, with a touch of smoke and a hint of mountain haar, as the Red Dow tribal people who pick and craft the tea fire it using woks in order to halt the oxidation process and lock in the tea’s complexities. The unique taste of this sublime brew wonderfully captures the landscape and culture from whence is originates.
